Create and edit

Create a song from an image or video

Use visual material as context for your music.

Images and videos can give ACE Music a subject, story, or mood to work from.

Add your visuals

  1. In Idea, select Sing a video/image, or open + → Image or video.
  2. Choose your files and confirm the selection.
  3. Check the attachments in the input box. The current input panel accepts up to three image or video attachments.
  4. Add a prompt explaining what matters about them and the music you want.
  5. Click Generate and listen to the results.

For example:

Make a bright, upbeat song about the road trip in this video, with a memorable chorus and acoustic guitar.

1. Open the + menu. 2. Choose the source or type of reference to add.

Give the image a purpose

Say whether the music should describe what is visible, tell a story inspired by it, or reflect a particular mood. Do not rely on an attachment alone to communicate a detail that is essential to you.

What is generated?

The output is a song. This workflow does not edit the video, export a finished music video, or place musical changes precisely against individual shots. Your visual attachments are inputs, not separate Library audio entries.

Images and videos belong in Idea. If you are in Custom, switch to Idea before adding them. For upload errors, see upload troubleshooting.

How are video Credits calculated?

Generating with uploaded video adds 1 Credit per minute to the base generation cost for every model. Add the video durations in the request, then round up to the next whole minute. ACE-Step has a zero base generation cost but still incurs this surcharge. For 90 seconds of video, the surcharge is 2 Credits: 2 Credits total with ACE-Step, or 6 with ACE Music v1 or ACE Music v1.1 Preview. Uploading alone does not charge; each new generation using the video does. See Credits usage.

Keep the original image or video

Keep your original files. Uploaded images and videos are available for 24 hours and are not saved as reusable attachments in Library or the finished song’s source details. If you want to use them again, add them to Idea again. If an attachment has expired, upload it again before generating.

You can combine images or videos with a Cover or Mashup in Idea. Describe how the visuals should guide the subject or mood. They help guide the song’s words, style and title; they do not supply melody notes or turn the result into a video.
