Getting started

Create your first song with ACE Music

Generate a first song, listen to your results, and find them in Library.

Describe the song you want, generate it, and listen to the results in your Library. You can start with a text prompt—you do not need to upload audio or write lyrics first.

Before you start

Sign in to your ACE Music account. For a model that charges Credits, you will need enough Credits for generation. ACE-Step generation does not use Credits; you can select that model in the Create workspace after completing first-time setup. See Credits usage for how generation uses Credits.

1. Open Create

Open Create in ACE Music.

If you see the first-time setup, choose Start with an idea or lyrics, then select Idea. If you are already in the Create workspace, select Idea at the top of the creation panel.

2. Describe your song

Enter a prompt describing the music you want. Start with a genre, a mood, and a subject. You can also mention instruments or the kind of vocals you would like.

For example:

A warm indie pop song about moving to a new city, with acoustic guitar, a steady drum beat, and hopeful vocals.

You can use an example prompt shown in the input box as a starting point, then change it to fit your idea.

3. Start generating

In the Create workspace, click Generate. In the first-time setup, click Continue after entering your idea.

Follow the progress shown on the page. A generation normally creates two versions, although a failed request may leave fewer playable results. Completion time can vary.

4. Listen to the results

Wait for the song to finish generating, then use the play button to listen.

5. Find your songs in Library

Your generated songs appear in Library, where you can play them again and open their details. You do not need to download a song to keep it in Library.

If you cannot see a result, clear the search field and check whether a filter such as Liked or Uploads is hiding it.

Already have lyrics?

In the Create workspace, choose Custom, paste your words into Lyrics, and describe the music in Style. Review both fields, then click Generate.

If something does not work

  • Generate is unavailable: enter a song description. If you are using Custom without a reference, add a Style description.
  • Generation reports an error: read the message before trying again. Check Library for an existing result so you do not submit another generation unnecessarily.
  • The song is different from what you imagined: adjust your prompt and generate another version. Changes to your input apply to a new generation; they do not edit a completed song.
