Create from a song someone shared with you
Use the shared song as a reference for your own Cover.
You can use a song shared with you as a reference for a new creation. You do not need to download and upload the same song first.
Start from the song page
- Open the shared song link and listen to the song.
- Select Make a cover of this.
- Sign in or complete the account steps if prompted.
- Check that the source song appears as the reference in the creation flow.
- Describe your new direction, review the inputs, and generate.
If this is your first visit, the introductory creation flow can open with that reference already attached. Continue through that flow rather than uploading a duplicate copy.
If the reference needs preparation
The audio can be reused while its melody still needs reading. Follow the progress shown on the reference. If the reference cannot be read, open the original song link and check whether the audio plays. If the song has been deleted, choose another reference. If the page or audio fails to load, check your connection and try again.
What is created?
You are making a separate generated song in your own account. You are not editing the original owner's song or joining a shared editing session. The new result may differ in voice, arrangement, phrasing, and duration.
The presence of a sharing or Cover control does not replace the usage terms that apply to the source and your result. For general policy questions, see commercial use, privacy, and account requests.
