Sharing and new versions

Who can open a sharing link, and why can it stop working?

Understand link access, deleted songs, and private source material.

Anyone with a song’s sharing link can open it and listen without signing in. Sharing links do not have settings for restricting who can open them.

Who can listen?

You can send a song link to someone who is not signed in. They can listen and share the link with others. Access to the page does not grant ownership of the song or permission to download the owner's files.

Anyone who receives a forwarded link can also open it, so only share songs you are comfortable letting others hear.

Why might a link fail?

  • The song was deleted.
  • The copied URL is incomplete or has been changed.
  • The page or audio cannot load because of a network or service problem.
  • The result has not yet reached a state where its song page can be shared.

Ask the owner to copy the link again from the song’s Share panel. Check that the URL is complete and the song has not been deleted. If the page or audio still fails to load, check your connection and try again.

Uploaded audio and individual stems stay separate from public song-link sharing. A working generated-song link does not expose every source file used to make it.
