Opening Up an Arrangement with Stem Separation
A stem splitter separates a mixed recording into components you can use for production tasks. In ACE Studio, use the extracted parts to investigate a vocal, build a different balance, or develop an arrangement around selected elements. Choose the task first, because isolated playback quality alone does not tell you whether a part will work in the new song.

Start with a song in ACE Music
We generated the original English lyrics below in ACE Music using Custom and ACE Music v1.1 Preview, then downloaded both MP3 versions. The first version became the source for the Studio exercise.
[Verse]
A kick beneath the turning wheel
A bass line gives the road its feel
[Chorus]
Find each layer, let it breathe
Hear the space between the keys

Original English pop-rock production sketch with clear lead vocals, distinct drums and bass, piano and electric guitar. Keep the arrangement straightforward and leave rests between phrases so individual parts can be separated for a production study.

Describe the musical direction in Style, check the title and lyrics, then select Generate.

The completed versions are now available in Library. Select each one to compare how the same input develops.

Open Download for the selected result, choose MP3 and confirm the download.
Decide which component you need
For a vocal rewrite, you may need a useful backing. For a remix, you may want the drums and bass as separate building blocks. For analysis, you might only need to hear a detail more clearly.
Keep an untouched source copy and use audio you have permission to process. Separation does not establish ownership of the original recording or remove permission requirements.
Separate the source in ACE Studio
Place the audio in the project, select the relevant region, and open Stem Splitter. Choose a mode appropriate to the components you need, then review the resulting tracks against the source.
Use the current Stem Splitter guide for available modes and controls. Do not assume extracted parts are the same as the original studio's individually recorded tracks.
Professional Stem Splitter created vocal, drums, bass, piano, guitar and other tracks from the mix. These are separated estimates, not the original recording multitracks. Check bleed and artifacts before further production.

Listen where the new arrangement will expose problems
A drum part that works under a full band may reveal residual vocal sound when played alone. A piano component may include traces of another instrument. Hear exposed entrances and endings before building the arrangement around them.
An original production exercise is to remove most of the verse's accompaniment while retaining a selected rhythmic part, then introduce a newly written vocal response. The purpose is to create a clearer conversation between parts, not simply to prove that separation occurred.
Rebuild the balance deliberately
Bring the useful stems into the new arrangement and check timing, levels, and transitions. Avoid accidentally playing a full original mix alongside all its extracted parts unless that layering is intentional.
If a component has distracting artifacts, decide whether the new context masks them acceptably or whether the part should be re-recorded or rewritten. A more complex processing chain is not always the most musical solution.
We exported all six separated tracks with their levels at 0 dB. For a second rough balance, we muted the original mix and used the levels below, emphasizing drums and bass relative to the other stems. This is a level-balance exercise, not a quality improvement claim or a new MIDI transcription.
Vocal −3 dB · Drums 0 dB · Bass 0 dB · Piano / Guitar / Others −6 dB · Master −3 dB

Connect song generation and production
You can start with an ACE Music song and use authorized available audio as the production source. ACE Studio then provides the separate environment for selecting components, writing new parts, and mixing.
An AI stem splitter supports that process, but it does not automatically turn every sound into accurate MIDI or editable instrument performance data. Transcription and musical rewriting remain separate decisions.
If you only need the instrumental
Use a vocal-removal workflow focused on separating voice and accompaniment, then review the backing for the intended use. A more detailed multi-instrument split is helpful when those extra components serve a real arrangement task.
Use ACE Studio's stem workflow to make a specific production change, keeping the original close enough to hear what you have gained or lost.
