New Melodies in Your Own Voice: Singing Voice Cloning

Singing voice cloning gives you a way to create new vocal parts using a model developed from authorized voice samples. In ACE Studio, a cloned Vocal Synth voice can be used with MIDI and lyrics. This is a distinct workflow from describing a vocal style in ACE Music or converting an existing recording to another voice.

Start with a song in ACE Music

The ACE Music audio below is an English song reference with a generic generated singer, not a cloned voice. We opened the separate Vocal Synth customization page and checked its guide; no voice samples were uploaded and no model was trained. Prepare authorized recordings and follow the current guide before using a custom model with MIDI and lyrics.

[Verse]
A voice of my own, a line I can sing
A place for the words and the stories they bring
[Chorus]
I will begin with a song that is mine
And shape every phrase one note at a time

English acoustic pop songwriting reference, intimate clear solo vocal and simple piano and guitar accompaniment. A concise melodic draft for planning a later authorized custom-voice workflow. Use a generic generated singer, not an imitation of any real person.

Decide which creative task you want

If you have a melody and want it sung in your vocal character, a Vocal Synth clone is the relevant route. If you already have a performance and want to transform its sound, look at the separate Voice Changer workflow.

Choose the route before preparing material. “Clone your voice” can describe several products with different inputs and outputs, including speech systems that are not designed for song production.

Check voice cloning requirements against your singing goal

Use your own voice or a voice you are explicitly authorized to model. Voice cloning consent should cover the modeling task rather than merely permission to hear a recording. Choose clean recordings that represent the vocal character you want to develop, rather than heavily effected mixes or layers of several singers.

For example, if your goal is an intimate low-register verse, include performances relevant to that character instead of assuming a dataset dominated by bright, loud choruses will describe it equally well.

Follow the current Vocal Synth cloning guide for dataset preparation and the available customization process. Check the relevant account requirements before committing to production.

Use the model as a singer, not a finished song

Once an authorized Vocal Synth voice is available in ACE Studio, develop a part with notes and lyrics as you would with another supported singer. Begin with a short passage so you can assess pronunciation, register, and phrasing.

An original test lyric might be:

I left the first line on the table
Came back to see if I could stay

Choose a melody that includes the kinds of phrases the song actually needs. A successful test should tell you something about the intended production, not just demonstrate that sound comes out.

Compare without confusing the model and the arrangement

Keep notes, lyrics, and listening level consistent when comparing voice versions. If you change the melody and backing at the same time, you may not know what caused the difference.

Use the performance as editable material. Refine note lengths and lyric alignment before deciding that every weakness requires a different voice model.

Connect it with an ACE Music song idea

ACE Music can help develop the broader song concept. If you later want a part sung using your authorized cloned voice, move into ACE Studio's separate vocal-production route and prepare the musical material it needs. Do not assume a text prompt in ACE Music automatically selects that cloned voice.

Develop your singing voice in ACE Studio around a specific musical role and a short, representative part you can evaluate honestly.
